My long lost friend, came out of the woodwork after 16yrs.

So it had been like 16-17 years since I have seen this girl. We were high school friends inseperatable. We fought and had fun together, like all teenage girls. We were the best of friends. Offered each other advice on clothes, boys, sports, and studied for ou classes. We both moved away our senior years. She moved to Dallas, I moved to Corpus. We lost touch and this was before email, facebook, etc. I would get a phone call here and there. But never really followed through to ever meet up. But last year I joined FB and low and behold we reconnected and have spoken to one another non stop. I love Michelle Jane, she is a rare breed. I feel as I can be myself and not have her judge me. We get each other after all this time. When we had dinner it was as time stood still and I was 15-16 years old and nothing changed. You hear about those types of situations, but don’t believe it. Well it happened to me. It did, and there were no uncomfortable moments of silence. It was never awkward. Anyways, here are a few pictures of me and my friend Michelle. I am so proud of her. She has made her self into a succesful business woman. Then again, I never had a doubt she wouldn’t be successful in anything she sought after. Good Friends are hard to find, and I am glad I found her again..

We acted silly, then when the end was near it was bitter sweet. But I think I am going to go see her in Plano sometime this year.. It will be alot of fun, day trips are in order. I think it will be good for both of us.

Happy B-day Meaggy!

Daddy's Girl

Meaggy turns 4 today, I can’t believe how time has passed. I remember the first day we got her. She really chose us. There was another dog there that was a bit rounder, bigger eyes, but sadly he was a boy. We wanted a girl, So Meaggy sees us looking at her brother and then walks up to Tom and lifts her head, and that’s all it took. She then preceded to walk around us, as she was deciding whether or not she wanted to come home with us. The ride home was a big surprise as she never cried or wimpered. She slept the whole night in her crate, of course now she’s taken over our bed. Although today Meaggy has full reign of the house. We are glad to have our girl in our lives. We had some close calls with her eating socks, underwear and grass, and toys. But we are very fortunate to have her here today, and hoping for a really long time. She is the sweetest dog, and Tom and I value each day with her. We love her so much b/c even after the hardest day, when you see those precious eyes glancing at you…it makes you not sweat the small stuff. Happy Birthday baby girl! We love you!

So all the Tax payers got together all around the USA to protest the governments allocation of funds used to help bail out all these companies (Fannie Mae/GM/Chrysler-etc) Well, my In laws decided to use their rights and protest. They were mentioned in the Free Press, Buda Texas. I thought I’d share this will you all. Hysterical and Monumental.

Seattle Trip 2009

I went to go visit my sister in Seattle and I had a wonderful time.  The city was like nothing I’d ever seen being from Texas. This trip allowed me to bond more with my sister as if that is possible. But also get out and explore the good ol USA and as she likes to say, the west coast. We were able to see alot of the local scenery and of course all the shopping  jaunts around Seattle, Wa. Queen Anne, Greenlake, The troll, Pacific Center Mall, and Northgate Mall. There is so many Nordstrom’s there. Here is a little preview of what I saw. I will add more later…I have to go eat some chow!

Happy Birthday to me!

Las Vegas 2008

Ok, so it’s my birthday today, and other than getting another year older. I actually like my b-day! I guess b/c I can always remember that 7 years ago, on April 09/10  2002.  Thomas Daniel Adams, asked me out on a date! Little did I know that he would become my boyfriend and my husband. So other birthdays were fun and memorable. But my birthday often makes me reflect on how the best was yet to come 10 days later. I also have my nephew Joshua’s b-day on our official first date. So I can’t ever forget how special that day is!  well, as I mentioned in the previous post, I am off to see my sister Sara and hope the we get to enjoy my b-day and go to a nice dinner. So, I’ll  keep you posted!  However,  I wanted to savor the moment and appreciate this moment in my life.  Even though I am getting a wee bit older, it’s worth it b/c each year brings precious memories, and makes me yearn for those to come.

So my B-day is just around the corner, I am thrilled this year in particular b/c I am going to see my sister Sara! I have never been to Seattle, Wa and I am excited to see where she has been dwellling the past 3-4 years since she has been away from Texas.  She resides in Seattle, and use to live in Tacoma, Yuma, AZ. So my sister has been quite the nomad. But I am thrilled to see all that Seattle has to offer. She is going to show me the shopping aspect and the Space Needle and the famous Market..something like that. I bought a new media card, so I am hoping we can share updated pics of us. I can’t believe my b-day is here…..I think it is time Tom and I got serious about having a baby, tick tock, tick tock….I think it’s time. Oh well, no pressure right! LOL!

So a friend of mine asked me if I was on Facebook, I was like no… What is it? Its’ sort of like Myspace but for grown  folks. Needless to say I joined FB and LOOOOVVVE it!  So blogging and FB is going to be a challenge but getting better. So far the friends have not gotten out of hand. Some people have like 150-350 friends..come on now! You know they don’t speak to them at all. It’s like me going to the grocery store and saying, hey you want to be my friend on FB! Pretty pathetic, don’t you think? So my FB is stricly for close friends and family. That’s it, oh and people I have worked with, good for references, if I ever lose my job, or try other job opportunities. So my name is Belinda and I’m a FB’er.

Turns out, I have a bit of a handbag problem.I switched out my bag once more and then realized along with loving the looks of this back, it is a good shoulder and arm bag. It can also be used as a carry on. I guess it is  a multi-purpose satchel, and  I love it. I love Juicy Couture, it is listed as a luxury handbag or fashion line, but I tend to get these bags on the clearance rack.  I figure, if it’s sold out then I don’t need it, and if it wants a good home it will be waiting for me to find it!  8-10x it is there waiting for me to pick it up and give it a happy home! Bargain shopping fo high end stuff is worth the wait!

Valentines Day!

Our Valentines Day was different this year. Thomas was the best man for his long time friend Jason James. The wedding was at Lost Pines Resort in Bastrop. It was beautiful, elegant, and a memorable experience. I was able to see Thomas’s twin brother and wife Jennifer. Translation:  my brother and sister n law. We met some nice people. The whole night was fun, and I even got on the dance floor. Can you imagine! The good thing about dancing is you either have rythem or not. Thank goodness I do and it literally was like riding a bike. You never forget how. This post is somewhat late, but I tend to think of what to blog about after the fact. Mood: Happy, and Sore(Worked out today for 3hrs, I am a glutton for punishment! )

I switched out my bag, b/c I was wearing tons of Navy and this tote is so dressy casual, I love it. I also like that not to many people have this tote and I get to walk around with something some what unique. Yea right! I also like that it is reminiscent of my old Gucci bag I had when I was a senior in high school. My Aunt bought me that, even then my family knew how special a good bag was, it was the tell tale signs of a future addiction! Yikes!
